Mike Mignola and Warwick Johnson-Cadwell’s characters Professor J.T. Meinhardt, Mr. Knox, and Ms. Mary Van Sloan from the graphic novels Mr. Higgins Comes Home and Our Encounters With Evil: Adventures of Professor J.T. Meinhardt and His Assistant Mr. Knox are back in Falconspeare, a new graphic novel being published this year by Dark Horse Comics.
The book is written and drawn by Johnson-Cadwell and features a cover by Mignola himself, which you can check out below. Additionally, we’ve got some exclusive process art and character designs to share with you today, which you’ll also find down below.
Johnson-Cadwell explains the comic’s storyline to Bloody Disgusting, “Falconspeare sees vampire hunters Professor J. T. Meinhardt, his assistant Mr. Knox, and Ms. Mary Van Sloan continue their battle with evil in its many supernatural forms. In pursuit of a long-lost friend and fellow vampire hunter, the trio are led to the dark side of a Black Sea port, where they discover the truth of a sinister evil and the terrible consequences it brings with it.”
